LeKMA Assembly members Have no intention of removing MCE



It has come to the notice of the Presiding Member and Assembly Members of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly of today’s publication in the Ghana Web site, General News of Wednesday, 15th May, 2019, with the Heading “ Teshie Assembly Members plot MCE’s removal over Corruption and Incompetence. We wish that you would have contacted us first to know the facts before going to press.
First of all, the heading of the story is absolutely false. Nowhere had the Assembly Members accused the Hon. MCE of corruption and Incompetence. The Hon. MCE has a cordial and friendly relationship with all the Assembly Members and she fully cooperates with them in the development of the Assembly. There are some challenges confronting the Assembly, just as we have in any other Assembly or Institutions but collectively, we (MCE, Assembly Members and Management) are tackling those issues.
Secondly, I would like to put on record, that the intention behind we appending our signature was not to demand the removal of the MCE. We have intended to show to the MCE the overwhelming support of Assembly Members who are demanding payment of our allowances on or before the 14th May, 2019.
We should also know that some of the Assembly Members are no more coming back to the Assembly and others are also going for re-election in their various Electoral Areas. We therefore, found it prudent to demand the allowances now, before our term of office expires. However, some of our Members who had copies of the signed document connived and wrote that front page document asking for the removal of the MCE without the knowledge of the majority of us. This is clearly an act of bad faith and deceit. We totally condemn this act.
As we write this rejoinder, yesterday, the Municipal Finance Officer (MFO) paid our outstanding Allowances to the satisfaction of Members. The Assembly is calm now and we are happy too. Per the process of removing the MCE, the front page letter accompanying the signatures should be typed on any of the Elected Assembly Members “Letter Head” or the “Presiding Member” for authenticity and NOT on   a plain sheet of paper. Otherwise, anybody at all can also write on a plain sheet indicating, that…… we the undersigned by this resolution are calling for the forfeiture of our allowances. Some of our colleagues had hope that, they would be appointed the MCE, so ever since His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo appointed Hon Evelyn Twum-Gyanrah as the MCE, those individuals have not ceased to do everything possible under the sun to get her removed. They have moved and invisited all the condors of Power to make sure she’s removed. But, His Excellency, the President, being an astute Politician and vey discerning and full of wisdom had not budged to their diabolic demands.
There’s this saying in Akan “s3 aboa bi b3ka woa, na efri wontoma mu”, to wit “the one closer to you is the person who will destroy you”.

    I think we all know thing have gotten out of hands and now has tarnished the MCE's image already. Why don't they take down the link on Ghanaweb in the first place. She deserves better and has all rights to sue all involved for false allegations under the Criminal Code 1960,Act 21. We will strongly advice her further.

MCE, LeKMA DONATES TO TESHIE DISTRICT POLICE HEADQUATERS

Hon.Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah the Municipal Chief Executives of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly this afternoon donated to the Teshie District Police Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service Two (2) Split  Air-Conditioners and One Photocopier machine. The the Municipal Chief Executive said it is to make their work easier and Comfortable. The Former constituency Chairman of ledzokuku, now the Regional financial Secretary Mr. Mordecai Quarshie , The Presiding Member, Hon. Derock Laryea, The Assemblyman for Akro West Mr. Theophilious Lamptey, The constituency Research officer, Mr. Cephas Sowah and some staffs of the Assembly were some of the dignitaries present for the donation Exercise. LeKMA, MCE ATTENDS SOD CUTTING CEREMONY FOR REMOULDING OF THE GHANA MILITARY ACADEMY

Hon. Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah, LeKMA Municipal Chief Executive attended  the sod cutting ceremony for the remoulding of Ghana Military Academy which was held at Teshie Military Academy this morning. Present at the ceremony were:  His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the resident of the Republic of Ghana and the Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, MP, Minister for Defence, Hon. Abross Derry, MP, Minister for interior and a host of other important and prominent dignitaries. The project scope of work will Include:  Three - Storey Military Academy Hostels with 240self contained Rooms .  Two-Bedroom, Four Storey Blocks of 16 flats for platoon commanders.  Two-Storey Military Academy Classrom block, to mention but few.
