LeKMA, MCE ATTENDS SOD CUTTING CEREMONY FOR REMOULDING OF THE GHANA MILITARY ACADEMY

Hon. Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah, LeKMA Municipal Chief Executive attended  the sod cutting ceremony for the remoulding of Ghana Military Academy which was held at Teshie Military Academy this morning. Present at the ceremony were:  His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo the resident of the Republic of Ghana and the Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, MP, Minister for Defence, Hon. Abross Derry, MP, Minister for interior and a host of other important and prominent dignitaries. The project scope of work will Include:  Three - Storey Military Academy Hostels with 240self contained Rooms .  Two-Bedroom, Four Storey Blocks of 16 flats for platoon commanders.  Two-Storey Military Academy Classrom block, to mention but few. MCE, LeKMA DONATES TO TESHIE DISTRICT POLICE HEADQUATERS

Hon.Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah the Municipal Chief Executives of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly this afternoon donated to the Teshie District Police Headquarters of the Ghana Police Service Two (2) Split  Air-Conditioners and One Photocopier machine. The the Municipal Chief Executive said it is to make their work easier and Comfortable. The Former constituency Chairman of ledzokuku, now the Regional financial Secretary Mr. Mordecai Quarshie , The Presiding Member, Hon. Derock Laryea, The Assemblyman for Akro West Mr. Theophilious Lamptey, The constituency Research officer, Mr. Cephas Sowah and some staffs of the Assembly were some of the dignitaries present for the donation Exercise. LeKMA MCE CUT SOD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DRAINAGE SYSTEM

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ledzokuku Municpal Assembly earlier yesterday visited the Ashiety Akomfra electoral area, Jah labour to be specific to cut sod for the construction of a 117 metre length drainage system for the people of that electoral area. Ashiety Akomfra Assemblywomam, Honourable Veronica Lamptey lobbied for this project to come to her area to relief her people. The project is expected to help address the poor drainage system and curb the annual  ritual of flooding when it rains. With the onset of the rains, the project will also halt the situation where the slightest of rains, floods homes of residents and destroys their property. The contractor working on the project has been charged to, in the spirit of local content, factor and create employment for residents in the catchment area of the project to help reduce the unemployment level. LeKMA DONATES TO TESHIE MUSLIM COMMUNITY

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, Evelyn Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah has donated some items to the Muslim community in the Municipality. The donation done around 4pm last Friday at the Dar Es Salam Mosque in Teshie, is in fulfilment of a promise to support all religious denominations in the area. Among the donated items included, 70bags of rice and 60 cartons of cooking oil. The items are token from the assembly to the Muslim community which will go a long way to help them have enough food for consumption after their ramadan and the subsequent Eid ul Fitr celebration. Imam Zakaria Mohammed and Shiek Ibrahim Amartey who recieved the items on behalf of the Muslim community, recounted how the MCE is quick to offer assistant to them and urged her to continue with that good gesture. MCE OF LeKMA PLEDGES TO SUPPORTS THE "BECAUSE I WANT TO BE".....

MCE for the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah earlier today joined the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo for the launch of the "BECAUSE I WANT TO BE.... " project targeted at adolescent girls who have struggled to stay in school due to a myriad of socio-economic challenges. Under the project which is being supported the United Nations Population Fund, the ladies between the ages of 19-35 will be mentored and encouraged to go back and complete their education. For those who want to learn skills, the program offers them an opportunity to be equipped with the relevant skills to enable them fend for themselves. The Rebecca Foundation which is spearheading the project believes no lady is supposed to be left out of the developmental agenda of the Akufo Addo led government. LeKMA MCE ATTENDS GHANA MILITARY ACADEMY SPECIAL MEDICAL INTAKE 5 GRADUATION CEREMONY.

The Hon.MCE, Madam Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah was invited to the Ghana Military Academy special medical intake 5 graduation ceremony. The event happened at the Teshie Military camp around the hours of 8:30am. Other High Dignitaries graced the occasion which included :The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana H.E Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, The interior Minister Hon. Ambrose Dery,  The Minister for Defence Hon. Dominic Nitiwul and some other important dignitaries were also present at the occasion. The Hon. MCE, LeKMA after the graduation with the Vice president shook hands with the chiefs, Queen mothers and other members of Teshie. The smile on the faces of the people, one could see was as a result of the confidence they have in the assembly and the party at large. Having a military Academy in our Municipality represents our security interest and it is important such functions like this,the Hardworking MCE, represents the good people of Teshie.

LeKMA Assembly members Have no intention of removing MCE

It has come to the notice of the Presiding Member and Assembly Members of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly of today’s publication in the Ghana Web site, General News of Wednesday, 15th May, 2019, with the Heading “ Teshie Assembly Members plot MCE’s removal over Corruption and Incompetence. We wish that you would have contacted us first to know the facts before going to press. First of all, the heading of the story is absolutely false. Nowhere had the Assembly Members accused the Hon. MCE of corruption and Incompetence. The Hon. MCE has a cordial and friendly relationship with all the Assembly Members and she fully cooperates with them in the development of the Assembly. There are some challenges confronting the Assembly, just as we have in any other Assembly or Institutions but collectively, we (MCE, Assembly Members and Management) are tackling those issues. LeKMA HANDS CHAIRS AND TABLES OVER TO THE MUNICIPAL DIRECTORATE,TESHIE.

Today at exactly 9:00am the Hon.MEC Evelyn Naa Adejely Twum- Gyamerah  handed over 330 seats of JHS table and chairs and 100 seats of teachers's chairs and table to the Director of Education of the District directorate. This chairs is to be distributed to schools in Teshie to enable all pupils have comfortable chairs and table to sit on for studies. This will also make teachers feel at ease knowing there is somewhere to sit after and during lectures. The MCE believes in the education of her people and noted that she will do everything within her strength to make sure that the challenges facing education in the municipality is reduced. HON DR OKOE BOYE DONATES TO TESHIE ROYAL FAMILIES

As part of his program for this year's Homowo Festival, *Hon Dr Okoe Boye today made a cash donation of $500 and Ghc2000, a bag of maize, cartons of soft drinks and Castle Bridge, a gallon of palm oil, a carton of fish to each of the five royal families that makes the Teshie Traditional Council this morning The first stop was Klanaa at exactly 9:15am and then followed by *Kle Musum, Agbawe,Lenshi and ended at Gbugbla. In his delegation are Mrs Newman, Mrs Rebecca Akuffo Addo's chief of staff, Chief Joshua McAdjei, NPP constituency chairman for Kedzokuku, members of the Rebecca Foundation, constituency executives and party members. The Families used the opportunity to ask some pressing issues that are bothering the constituency. Notable among them were the Landing Beach, Lekma link road and Lorry Park for the constituency.
