LeKMA DONATES TO TESHIE MUSLIM COMMUNITY



The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, Evelyn Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah has donated some items to the Muslim community in the Municipality. The donation done around 4pm last Friday at the Dar Es Salam Mosque in Teshie, is in fulfilment of a promise to support all religious denominations in the area.
Among the donated items included, 70bags of rice and 60 cartons of cooking oil.
The items are token from the assembly to the Muslim community which will go a long way to help them have enough food for consumption after their ramadan and the subsequent Eid ul Fitr celebration.
Imam Zakaria Mohammed and
Shiek Ibrahim Amartey who recieved the items on behalf of the Muslim community, recounted how the MCE is quick to offer assistant to them and urged her to continue with that good gesture.
The imams took turns to pray for her and workers of the assembly for the Almighty Allah to strengthen and enable them champion the developmental cause of Teshie.
In attendance were the Assemblyman for the area, the NPP nasara coordinator and some members of the Muslim community.

On her part, the MCE was of the view that prayer plays a vital role in a community hence called on them to always remember the assembly in their prayers. She also pleaded with them to also help keep the community clean as cleanliness is next to Godliness.
